Lemons
Lemons are good source of antioxidants
and loaded with vitamin C, lemon also detoxifies human body mechanism.
Sugar
Sugar is known as natural exfoliator
and a rich natural source of glycolic acid which cleans pores, smoothen outer
skin tone, and recovers, develops our skin by removing dead skin cells.
Honey
Honey is a natural source of essential
anti-oxidants which is very beneficial in age preventions. Honey locks water
into the skin and thus help to keep the skin complexion hydrated. The
antibacterial elements in the honey help acne-prone skin by decreasing
breakouts on the skin.
Olive oil
Olive oil contains Vitamin E which

Lemon or orange zest
Zest is a food ingredient that is
prepared by scraping or cutting from the outer, colorful skin of unwaxed citrus

using just a few natural ingredients at home. It is very simple and the smell
is tempting. You can also use this mixture as an outstanding facial scrub and
body scrub. Here is what you have to make it –
Ingredients
1 cups of white Sugar or brown sugar
1/3 or 1 cup of extra Virgin Olive oil
or Almond oil
3 - 4 tablespoons of fresh Lemon juice
3 tablespoons of Honey
1 tablespoon of lemon or orange zest
Keep this mixture in the jar and store
it in the fridge and whip it out when you need it. You can also use this
mixture as an outstanding facial scrub and body scrub. You can use this scrub
for your entire body.
The quantity of the above ingredients
depends on how much you want to prepare for yourself. I recommend not making
too much as the mixture should be used within a month of being made because
these ingredients are food items and therefore perishable.
Directions to make
Add a cup of white sugar or brown sugar
followed by half cup of extra Virgin Olive oil or Almond oil in the medium size
bowl. The sugar and oil ratio must be 2:1. Mix them using spoon. Then add
3 tablespoons of honey and 1 tablespoon of lemon or orange zest. Mix all these
ingredients properly (zest should not be visible)
Directions to apply
1. For hands, feet
& body scrub

Apply to your hands,
feet or body, make concentration on your elbows, knees, feet, especially nails
and cuticles.

Start scrubbing in
circular motions for 5-8 minutes or more.

Rinse off with
lukewarm water or normal water.
4.
Repeat once or twice
in a week for amazing result or as needed.
2. For face scrub
Apply this mixture on your face and
start scrubbing gently in circular motions. Do this for 5 minutes. Leave it on
for more 5 minutes and wash off with normal water. This scrub is best for people
who experience breakouts and acne because all the ingredients in this scrub are
very advantageous to acne prone skin. Lemon tightens pores on the facial skin
and improves the skin tone; sugar eliminates dead skin cells, dirt and cleans
pores. Olive oil cures acne scars and honey prevents breakouts.
Important tips
Apply this mixture to clean face or
hands. Scrub gently in circular motions.
Do not scrub on face more than 5-6
minutes as face as facial skin is sensitive in nature.
Do not apply on open wounds as the
lemon can sting.
If you want to use this on your face,
apply a cleanser afterwards to remove the excessive oil.
