16. Orange juice

Orange juice is very beneficial in treating fever. Drink glass of orange juice after every 90 minutes to increases your urinary output, Orange juice also energizes you and increases resistance power against infections and viruses. 


17. Sandalwood powder

Take some sandalwood powder and make paste by adding enough water to it. Apply this paste on the forehead of the patient. It will help in reducing body temperature as sandalwood gives cooling effects.


18. Turmeric

Mix half a teaspoon of turmeric powder and one teaspoon honey in cup of warm milk. Drink this decoction twice a day.


19. Saffron

Saffron also works magically in treating common fever. Boil half teaspoon of saffron in cup of water for few seconds. Use this mixture as a tea. Have a teaspoon of this tea after every hour to reduce fever.



20. Apricot juice

Take small glass of fresh apricot juice and add 1 tablespoon of glucose or honey to it. Drink this to reduce fever, it also the need for liquids and gives you cooling effects.


21. Grapefruit juice

Grapefruit juice also acts magically in curing common fever. Prepare half glass of fresh grapefruit juice and add 1 tablespoon of raw honey to it. Drink this juice once or twice a day to get relieved from high temperature.




22. Onion, lemon grass, black pepper

Another tested remedy to cure common fever is - Boil glass of water and add half teaspoon turmeric powder, 1 teaspoon of ginger paste, 1 teaspoon onion paste, some lemon grass, half teaspoon of black pepper and 7-8 fresh basil leaves. Boil it for 15 minutes on slow flame. Strain the water and drink half cup 2-3 times a day to treat common fever. 


23. Tamarind leaves

Crush 1 tablespoon leaves of tamarind in cold water to extract the juice of it. Add pinch of turmeric to this juice and consume it to get rid of infection and fever.


24. Tartar Cream

Take 2-3 cups of water and boil it with 1 tablespoon of fresh lemon juice for few minutes, then remove it from heat and add 1 tablespoon of honey and 1-2 tablespoon of tartar cream to it. Mix it all these ingredients together, and drink this mixture as a warm tea to reduce body temperature.




25. Oregano Tea

Boil one tablespoon of oregano, half teaspoon of regular or herbal tea powder and 1 tablespoon of marjoram in cup of water for 5 minutes. Let the mixture cool down and strain this tea and drink it.



26. Apple Water

Take a medium size apple, peel the skin and cut it in small pieces and boil these pieces in 1 ½ cup of water till the apple becomes soft and spongy. Strain this water and add 1 tablespoon honey in to it. Drink it to reduce your fever.



27. Lettuce Water

Take some fresh lettuce and boil it in glass of water for 5 minutes then let the water soak lettuce leaves. Allow it to cool down. Strain the water and add 1 tablespoon of honey in it. Drink this water at a certain interval of times.


28. Pineapple

Pineapple is not only acts as an anti-inflammatory agent that reduces fever, but pineapple juice also prevents dehydration occur in high body temperature. Drink cup of fresh pineapple juice with little honey 2-3 times a day.


29. Cayenne pepper

Cayenne pepper is one of the best home remedy that can be used in treating colds and fever. Simply mix 2 pinches of cayenne pepper in your regular tea or milk, also add 1 tablespoon of honey and drink it warm, sip slowly. 


30. Tomato Juice with Cinnamon

Accumulation of dangerous toxins in our blood can be a main cause for the fever. Therefore, cinnamon and fresh tomato juices that are rich in antioxidants, eliminates free radicals and prevents the build-up of toxins in our body. It also gives you cooling effects; energize you by reducing restlessness which is accompanied by fever. 

1.      Take cup of fresh tomato juice and add teaspoon of cinnamon powder to it. Boil this mixture for 5 minutes and then drink it warm. Repeat this 2-3 times a day.

2.      Do not give aspirin to infant and small kids in fever, instead of aspirin, give them cold bath and try to reduce the fever.
3.      Take consistent sleep around 10pm to 6am, as between these hours our body fights disease effectively.
4.      Massage your forehead, shoulders and back with Vicks vapor rub or any other balm for 5 minutes, you will feel better by massaging your muscle tissues. Try this.
5.      Take rest as much as possible.
6.      Try to avoid eating solid foods like roti, chapati until your fever is gone. Replace these solid foods with rice gruel, brown bread, fruits or juices.
