1. Coriander seeds

Boil 3 tablespoon of coriander seeds in 3 cup of water, boil and dilute the water to one cup. Let it be warm, and then add 1 tablespoon of honey to improve taste as this water is bitter in taste. 

Drink this water in to portion, morning and evening. A coriander seed reduces excessive blood flow and unbearable pain during menstrual period.


2. Wild yam (Ratalu)

Wild yam (Ratalu) in well known as a great pain reliever because of its antispasmodic qualities wild yam (Ratalu) will help you in making these days much more tolerable.


3. Aloe vera

Get some (1 tablespoon) fresh Aloe Vera pulp/juice and mix with 1 tablespoon of honey, Consume this mixture on empty stomach or 1 hour before your heavy meal. Aloe Vera is very beneficial to ease the flow and it reduces the pain quickly.


4. Parsley with carrot

Girls/Women who are suffering from painful and low menstrual flow can take cup of parsley juice mixed with 1 cup of carrot juice. Drink this juice twice a day. This will reduce pain and makes the blood flow proper and normal.



5. Raspberry leaves

Add 5 fresh Raspberry leaves in your black tea or boil these leaves in cup of water and add 1 teaspoon of honey in it. Consume three times a day for pain relief.




6. Green tea

Drink jasmine flavored green tea three times a day; it works amazingly in consoling the body and mind.


7. Sesame seeds

If you are anemic and having weakness due to any reason, then menstrual period will be very distressful for you. To overcome this problem boil 1 or 2 teaspoons of sesame seeds in 2 cup of water for 4-5 minutes on slow flame, strain the water. Drink this warm mixture twice daily it will reduce your pain and gives you comfort in these days.



8. Calcium

Calcium is a good cure for pain during menstrual periods. Include a glass of milk and banana in your breakfast and dinner.


9. Papaya

Consume papaya during and before your menstrual periods. Papaya contains ‘Papain’ an enzyme that helps to manage and ease the flow during menstruation periods.


10. Carrot with lemon

Carrots supports in regulating normal and complicated menstruation. Drink a glass of carrot juice, also add 1 tablespoon of lemon juice I it. Drinking carrot juice three times a day makes you feel much better during menstrual pain.



11. Fish

Eat fish such as Blue Fin Tuna, Prawns, Salmon and Sardines etc, as these fish contains omega-3 fatty acids, which assists in easing contractions during menstruation periods.



12. Avoid red meat & caffeine

Never eat red meat and caffeine during menstrual periods. This food stuff has properties that aggravate the pain.
