7. Epsom Salt

Put 2 to 3 tablespoons of Epsom salt in a tub of warm water. Soak the affected heel in the tub for 10 to 15 minutes. 

Gently massage your heel to alleviate pressure. Apply some moisturizer and go to sleep. Repeat daily before going to bed.


8. Borax Solution

Take half a teaspoon of borax and mix with one liter of cold water. The heel should be soaked without fail for half an hour before bedtime every day in this solution.


9. Alfalfa

Alfalfa contains many minerals like selenium and calcium required for healthy bone formation. Also, it can help in soothing pain and reducing inflammation.

Add ½ to 1 teaspoon of alfalfa seeds to a cup of boiling water. Cover and let it simmer for 20 to 30 minutes. Strain, and add a little honey. Drink this tea 3 or 4 times daily until the pain and inflammation goes away. Then drink 1 to 2 cups of alfalfa tea daily to keep the symptoms at bay.



10. Salt water

Take one tablespoon of salt and add this to a bowl of warm or hot water. Relax a bit by soaking the affected heel in this water for about fifteen minutes. This can be repeated several times a day to reduce the swelling and prevent major discomforts associated with heel spur.



11. Turmeric

Turmeric has curcumin that works as a potent painkiller and anti-inflammatory agent. So, consuming turmeric daily may help ease the pain and inflammation of a heel spur.

Dissolve 1 teaspoon of turmeric powder in a cup of milk and heat it over a low flame. Drink this two times a day for speedy recovery.



12. Cabbage leaves

The leaves of cabbage are excellent for relieving pain and inflammation. Take a few leaves of cabbage and show it under a low flame for softening the leaves so that they do not break while placing around the rounded heels. Cover the inflamed area with cabbage leaves and using gauze, tie it securely so that it does not shift around. Let it stay and replace with fresh leaves when the cabbage leaves become dry and withered. It is a very great option to treat the inflammation and the pain.




13. Omega 3 fatty acids

Omega-3 fatty acids are one of nature’s strongest suits against inflammation. You can also opt for cod liver oil tablets that are rich in omega-3 fatty acids daily to relieve pain and irritation.


14. Heat treatment

Application of heat is another simple remedy that is used for treating all kinds of inflammations. A wet compress works much better to everyone’s relief in such times. Use a washcloth for soaking the boiled water and wringing it dry. Keep this washcloth on the heal spur for about 15 minutes. Pouring hot water on to the heels for a few minutes is another way to ease the pain and discomfort of heel spurs.
