Akshay Kumar, one of India's most celebrated actors, recently disclosed the true motivation behind his decision to acquire Canadian citizenship. In an interview with the news agency ANI, the 56-year-old actor revealed that his initial move towards Canadian citizenship was primarily due to a series of film failures, with 13 to 14 flops taking a toll on his career.

Kumar explained that during this challenging phase in his career, a close friend residing in Canada proposed a business opportunity in the cargo industry. Faced with a string of unsuccessful movies, he accepted the offer, recognizing the importance of hard work regardless of one's location. As he settled in Toronto, he eventually obtained Canadian citizenship.
