16 Early signs of Pregnancy before a missed period. Pregnancy Symptoms - Part 2
9. Metallic
taste in mouth
This strange feeling is very peculiar to pregnancy. You may enjoy a
metallic taste inside your mouth which can remain throughout the day. Also you
may feel uncomfortable due to some particular smell around. This aversion may
leave you frustrated out of no reason.
10. Food
aversions
You would end up throwing even more tantrums regarding
choice of food. This is another common pregnancy symptom.
You may feel nauseous by the smell or taste or even
the appearance of some food which have been your favourite for quite a long
time.
11. Lack of
Appetite
Due to nausea,
vomiting and aversion to various odours,
your appetite will
suffer. You might have craving for a particular dish but do not feel like
eating it when served. Also you may have a craving for pickles. During this
initial phase of pregnancy your
appetite is supposed to be on its trough, however; you need not worry, for it
increases during the later stages of pregnancy.
12. Constipation
Due to this hormonal chaos inside your body, the
digestive system couldn’t stand untouched. The
elevated progesterone levels can affect your digestive system. You
could suffer from constipation as your food is
being very slow inside the intestines.
13. Mood
swings
Mood swings might be an uninvited guest during pregnancy. This happens due to
hormonal changes that take place in your body.
The variations in the hormone levels affect neurotransmitters of the brain,
which cause enhanced emotions, from spells of weeping to sudden anger
outbursts. In short, you could put hulk to shame
and at the same time be very sensitive about how your eye liner missed the
correct line of application by a few nanometres.
14. Headaches
& Backaches
Your blood sugar levels may drop along with blood pressure due to which you
might get headaches as your brain would
struggle to keep up working with the less sugar content available than normal.
15. Shortness
of Breath
When you conceive, it is not only you alone who needs
oxygen. Your body has to share blood and oxygen with the foetus inside. Due to
this, you may experience breathing problems.
Breathlessness and getting tired after doing normal physical movements like
using stairs or a short walk are quite normal during pregnancy.
However, it may indicate any other breathing
problem such as allergic asthma.
16, Excessive
thirst
During the early stages of pregnancy, the blood volume is
increasing inside your body, so it would require you to take lots of fluid. You
might feel excessive thirst. Now this cycle starts when you drink lots of
water, then you have this strong urge to pee. This would, in turn, again
require you to drink more water.
Bottom line
Trust me, your body is very smart. It can tell you just
one or two weeks after conceiving. All those symptoms listed above are good
enough to get a rough idea about pregnancy. But remember, we
also have doctors for that. Before concluding, visit a doctor to be sure or use
a pregnancy test kit after missing your period.
Also these symptoms may not always be signs of pregnancy; it can indicate
other health problems or just be pre menstrual symptoms. So once again, let the
doctor do his job and tell you which the case is.
