What is Grape seed oil?

Grape seed oil is oil extracted from the seeds of grapes and generally used in two sectors - Cosmetics and Culinary. Grape seed oil gives many health benefits to our skin and hair as it is rich source of essential fatty acid and vitamin E.

1. Moisturizing and Conditioning

Like olive oil, Grape seed oil is an effective natural conditioner, offering the hair moisturize and vitamins. Regular use of grapeseed oil as part of your regular hair care regime has shown to produce stronger, healthier hair. Because grapeseed oil is lighter than olive oil, it does not leave a greasy feel and lingering scent. Grape seed oil helps to lock in moisture and prevent frizz, split ends naturally.

How to use it

Simply apply it on your hair and scalp before or after your hair wash and let it sit for few minutes (30-60 minutes before hair wash or 5 minutes after hair wash). Then wash it off with normal or lukewarm water.

2. Dandruff, dry and flaky scalp

The nutrients found in grapeseed oil can also be used for treating dry, damaged and flaky scalp and dandruff because it nurtures the growth of vigorous skin cells.

How to use it

Apply grapeseed oil into the scalp and massage in a circular motion for 5 minutes, it will allow the oil to be absorb in your skin, it also promotes blood flow. Leave it overnight or whole day and rinse off with lukewarm water using mild shampoo.

Lineolic acid, a fatty acid found in grapeseed oil, promotes hair growth and healthy scalp. How to use it

Heat 2 tablespoon of grape seed oil and apply this lukewarm oil to your hair (you add few drops of coconut oil or milk to this oil) and massage into your scalp for 5 minutes. Leave it overnight and rinse off with lukewarm water.
