How to make rice water for healthy skin and hair
Rice water is rich source of vitamins and
beauty minerals that make it incredible for both skin and hair. It is chemical
free and is fresh. In Asia, women have used rice water for centuries to nurture
and beautify their skin and hair. Rice water can be used on all skin types such
as dry, oily and normal skin. You can use rice powder as body scrub to remove

What we need
1/2 cup uncooked rice
2 cups water
1. No-boil quick method
1. To remove dirt or impurities, first
rinse the rice with clean water.
2. Then mash the rice and place it in a
bowl and cover with 2 cups water.
3. Let the rice soak for 20-30
minutes.
4. Strain out this rice water into a clean
bowl & rice water is ready to use.
2. Boiled rice water
To prepare a concentrate of rice water
to use for face wash, face packs or hair rinse, hair masks, prepare rice as you
normally would, but increase the amount of water by 2-3 times you usually would
and mash the rice you use. When the rice has cooked, strain it out into a clean
bowl. The leftover water contains a high amount of nutrients. You can store
this milky water in the refrigerator in a plastic, steel or glass container for
up to one week.
3. Fermented rice water
Fermented rice water is particularly excellent
for hair care because this process brings the pH level of rice water more
closely in line with natural pH level of our hair, and this releases a chemical
called pitera that promotes the regeneration of cells. Fermentation method takes
few extra steps, but the results will be well worth the trouble.

To make fermented rice water, follow no-boil quick method listed above to,
prepare rice water and allow it to sit in a jar or covered bowl at warm or room
temperature for 30-52 hours. In warm room temperature the fermentation process
will take less time.

When a little sour smell comes from the rice water keep the solution in
the refrigerator. Now the rice water is ready to use, store remaining water in
fridge.
