We all at some point
of time in our life feel the need to work out, whether it be for getting
stronger, more muscle mass, getting in shape or just losing fat. So we tend to
chose different plans for different benefits. We are at peak energy during the
afternoon; therefore afternoon can be a great time to put in the heavy and
sweaty work outs!! Morning times are usually preferred as we all are relatively
fresh at that time. Working out before bed time is also possible, but it does
not afford any additional advantage.
Working Out Before Bed, Is It Okay?
Many researches have
shown that work out before bed time can actually give you a better quality of
sleep throughout the night!! Plus a little physical stress can get your muscles
toned which would get rest they deserve in time. So it might be good for your
muscle recovery.
Results quality sleep?
Research indicates
that working out before bed may result in a better quality sleep for a person.
The findings from the survey point out that those who performed vigorous work
out before bed had much better sleep on all days of the week. Also another good
thing that was observed that this group also reported much less day time
drowsiness than other groups of respondents. The report found that doing
exercise before going to bed is beneficial but it should not be done at the
cost of reducing sleep time. Of course we need to sleep well!!
How is this possible?
Now you must be
wondering what else other than fatigue would trigger a good sleep? This happens
because exercise triggers our body’s cooling mechanism which is also linked
with sleep. We sleep well when our body temperature is relatively low. To
summarise, exercise makes us serene and calm which in turn helps us in
sleeping.
When Is the Best Time for Working Out?
The best excuse
humans could come up for not working out was "I don’t have time for
it!!" Guys, you have time, just have a will to do it!! Those who exercise
usually prefer to do it in morning hours. But it is late afternoon to early
evening hours that are best ones to exercise, as our body muscles, lungs and
all other organs are working at their best at this point of time. Hereby
delivering maximum performance and best results.
Tips for Better Workout
1. Don‘t be hesitant
to workout at any point of time of the day. Working out at any point in a day
is much better than not exercising at all. So this deletes the excuse of being
unable to reschedule. This is why you should not feel anxious in rescheduling a
work out to late evening when you are busy completing all the work or attending
meeting.
2. Cool down of our
body is as important as working out. So we have to give enough time to let the
muscles cool down and for this purpose you should finish working out 3 hours
before sleeping.
3. A workout can make
your body temperature rise significantly (it makes you Hot!!)
You need to cool down then!! Having a quick bath for around 3-4 minutes after working out can reduce your body temperature significantly.

4. It is recommended
that you cool down slowly after a workout. This ensures that your muscles are
toned properly and reduce chances of muscle injury.
As we know that our body doesn’t take abrupt temperature changes in a good way, avoid a shower immediately after exercise or even jumping in front of ac for that matter.
