13 Terrifying things you should never keep at home- Vastu Shastra tips


Most of the time we hear about negative and positive energy. These energies have an impact on us. We always advise our kiths and kins to remain positive and invite good vibration. What not to keep at Home

As per the Vastu Shastra, you must make sure not to keep few things inside your home. They will create a negative energy and invite ill effects to all at home. Avoid using the following things at home


1. Cactus or thorny plants

Do not plant cactus at home. Yes, not even another plant which has thorns. Rose is an exception to it, and medicinal plants like Climbing Brinjal can be planted. Cactus and other plants with thorns create tension at home. It ruins the peace. Also, do not plant white sap exuding plants.

2. Fake plants and flowers

Never have any artificial plants at home. Only real plants will create positive vibration.  

3. Taj Mahal

Avoid keeping Pictures, Images, or showpiece of Taj-Mahal. It represents meekness and death. Taj-mahal on one side is considered as an embodiment of love, but on the other hand, it expresses the grief of Shahjahan’s wife, Mumtaz. Vibrations created by that pictures will affect our thoughts and health.

4. Nataraja

Nataraja is considered as the emblem of classical dance. Every person who believes in the cultural significance prefers to have the photo of Shiva dancing as Nataraja. But according to Vastu Shastra, the dance performed by God Shiva is called a ‘tandava nritya.' This means destruction dance, and he dances with anger to destroy the universe. God performed the Rudra Tandavam with an aggressive mindset. Hence not keep that photo at home if you look for peace at home.


5. Throw away broken things

Clean your home and throw away all utensils, flower vases, and furniture that are broken and have cracks. Cleaned and whole things allow positive energy at home.

6. No Clutter in Bedrooms

Make sure not to keep things under your cot. These things may awaken your subconscious thoughts and make you feel unhealthy.

7. Painting or statues of animals

Animals such as crow, pigeon, vulture, bat, owl, eagle, ass, donkey, snake, and pig influence your thoughts and lead to negative feelings. Hence avoid pictures and images of such animals in your house. Also, Vastu Shastra warns you not to keep pictures and images of animals or birds that are single in number.

8. Broken Mirrors and idols

Do not keep broken glass, broken mirror and broken image or statue of God and Goddess in your home.

9. Sceneries Representing War

War scenes from Ramayana and Mahabharata should not be kept at home. Such pictures and paintings depict rivalry among family members.

10. Water Fountain

Many of the individuals like water fountains. Most of the people love an atmosphere with water. But keeping a fountain at home or pictures of flowing water drains not only energy but also money from your house. All luck, wealth, and happiness may not stay with you permanently. They get washed out with the flowing water. So always remember to keep your house simple and not surround by water flowing fountains or pictures.
