Use sunscreen lotion with SPF-30 and non-greasy formula during summer. Use sunscreen which absorbs quickly into skin layers and it should be sweat and water resistant.

There are two main types of sunscreens - chemical and mineral. The difference between these two is that chemical based sunscreens need to be applied 15-20 minutes before sun exposure whereas mineral sunscreens work right away, because mineral based sunscreens forms a protective barrier on top of the skin while chemical based sunscreens contain UV filtering element that need to be absorbed in the skin.

Apply sunscreen lotion generously and evenly every 4 hours and every time you get out of the water. Do not forget to apply it over commonly missed areas such as under your chin, ears and the soles of feet.
