10. Indian Gooseberry

In many cases, leucorrhoea (a condition of excessive discharge from the vagina) causes feminine odor. Consumption of Amla/Indian gooseberry helps cure Leucorrhoea. Thus, it will give you relief from feminine odor.

11. Alum stick

Buy a good quality alum stick from grocery store. Soak alum stick in some water and rub it on your vagina’s mouth gently. Follow this once or twice a day.

12. Alum powder

Mix ¼ to ½ teaspoon of alum powder in some normal water and wash your vagina and surrounding area with this water.


13. Guava Leaves

Guava leaves have strong antioxidants, antibacterial, and anti-inflammatory properties. Guava also helps reduce menstrual cramps and cure vaginal discharge problems.

1.  Boil 8-10 guava leaves in 4-5 glasses of water till it reduce to half its quantity.
2.  Then let the water come to room temperature.

Drink unsweetened and undiluted fresh cranberry juice to flush toxins from your body and get rid of vaginal odor.

Natural antibacterial properties present in turmeric kill bacteria that causes vaginal odor and gives protection against viral infections. Drink turmeric milk on regular basis to prevent menstrual and vaginal odour.

How to Prevent Vaginal-Feminine Odor

Always wipe from front to back to prevent the infection to spread further.
Drink lots of water and follow fresh and healthy diet.
Avoid excessive intake of sugary foods.


Change your panties during the periods as blood stains leaves offensive odour.
Always wear cotton panties.
Avoid alcohol and caffeinated drinks.
Avoid using scented pads.
Try cloth pads and change your pads and tampons frequently.


Wash yourself well. Maintain proper hygiene.
Wash your vagina & urinate immediately after having sexual intercourse to flush out the germs/bacteria.
