10. Orange

It has a cooling impact and gives relief from anxiety caused by typhoid. The patient can take milk blended with orange juice or can consume an orange after taking milk. Oranges can be consumed a few times a day. It is beneficial in typhoid.


11. Raw honey

Add 1 tablespoon raw honey to glass of warm water and drink this, this combination soothes the digestive tract. Honey also gives you energy.


12. Buttermilk

Drinking buttermilk is another superb home remedy for typhoid fever. Consumption of buttermilk is easy on the stomach and helps fast recovery in fever. It also prevents dehydration due to constipation. Drink 2 glasses of buttermilk every day until you recover completely.



13. Coriander juice

Add 3-4 tablespoon of fresh coriander juice to a cup of buttermilk and drink this mixture twice a day.


14. Rice gruel

Rice gruel is often suggested for those with typhoid fever. It is easy on the stomach and gives numerous important nutrients.


16. Psyllium seeds (isabgol)

To improve bowel movements, add some psyllium seeds to glass of warm milk and drink it once or twice a day.


17. Pomegranate

Fresh pomegranate juice helps to rehydrate and energize a patient suffering from typhoid fever. Drink glass of pomegranate juice with 1 tablespoon of honey and pinch of black pepper salt. Repeat this once or twice a day.


18. Increase Fluid Intake

Always drink boiled water when you have typhoid fever, drink the water when it is still warm. Due to diarrhea, constipation and high fever, patient may become dehydrated, to prevent dehydration, increase fluid intake to keep your body hydrated and it also eliminates toxins and waste material from the body.

1.      Drink at least 8-10 glasses of warm bottled or purified water every day.
2.      Increase consumption of fresh glucose water, fruit juices, coconut water, herbal tea and soups.


Last but not least

1.      Maintain a strategic distance from stimulants, for example, liquor, caffeinated beverages, tea, carbonated drinks and spicy food.
2.      Avoid milk and dairy items if suffering with diarrhea.
3.      Abstain from consuming meats and sugary things for a couple of days.
4.      Consume simple foods like porridge, legumes and rice, grilled fish and boiled or raw vegetables.
5.      Abstain from consuming raw fruits and vegetables that you can't peel.
6.      Take foods that are high in fiber if you suffer from constipation.
7.      Abstain from drinking water alongside meals.
