9. Unripe Papaya
Unripe and green
papaya works as a strong emmenagogue. Unripe papaya is very beneficial in
curing the irregular periods; it also regulates the heavy menstrual flow and
abdominal cramps, because it facilitates tightening muscle fibers in the
uterus. It is particularly helpful for irregular menstrual periods associated
with stress and menopause.
1. Prepare 2 cup of papaya juice (use unripe
papaya) and add 1-2 tablespoon of honey in it. Drink this juice daily for few
weeks. Stop consuming the juice during your menstrual periods.
10. Sesame Seeds
Sesame seed contains
essential fatty acids which promotes balanced hormone production. It regulates
menstrual periods and gives relief in abdominal cramps by balancing the
hormones.
1. Roast cup of dray sesame seeds on the pan for
3-4 minutes and grind them along with one cup of jaggery. Mix them properly.
Consume 1 tablespoon of this mixture every morning two weeks before your period
begin, consume it on an empty stomach. Follow this remedy for 2-3 months to
regulate your periods. Store the remaining mixture in the container and keep in
it refrigerator or outside, but keep it away from heat or direct sunlight.
2. Mix 1 teaspoon of sesame seeds with half
teaspoon of cumin seeds and 1 tablespoon of honey. Consume this concoction 4-5
times a week for desired result.
Remember: Do not consume the mixture during your menstrual
periods.
11. Fennel seeds
Fennel seeds promotes
proper menstruation and gives relief in abdominal cramps which associated with
irregular periods and heavy blood flow.
1. Roast 2 tablespoon of fennel seeds and make
fine powder by crushing or grinding them. Add the powder in a glass of water
with 1 tablespoon of fresh lemon juice. Consume the mixture in the morning
30-40 minutes before breakfast. Do this 4-5 times a week until your periods
become regular.
2. Soak 2 tablespoons of fennel seeds in glass of
water overnight, in the next morning, strain the water and add 1 tablespoon of
honey to it. Drink this water in the morning on an empty stomach. Follow this
remedy 4-5 days a week for few months until you achieve desired results.
12. Ginger
Ginger is known as a
good stimulating herb, so it is recommended not to consume it right before
bedtime, as it may make you perspire, or you may experience a hot flash. Ginger
is highly advantageous in regulating menstrual cycles and also reducing
menstrual pain. It promotes healthy menstruation and therefore it is good in
curing the delayed and insufficient periods.
1. Grate or make 1-2 tablespoon fine paste of
ginger and boil it in glass of water for 5 minutes. Allow cooling and then add
1 tablespoon of honey to it. Drink up once or twice a day. You can also use
readymade ginger powder. Follow this remedy 4-5 weeks regularly.
Note: people having a history of gall stones must be cautious while using
ginger.
13. Coriander Seeds
1. Take 1 tablespoon of coriander seeds, crush
them and boil in the half glass of water for 5-6 minutes, strain the water and
add 1 tablespoon of honey and pinch of black pepper powder. Mix it and consume
it. Repeat this twice a day, in the morning and in the evening, 2 weeks prior to
your menstrual periods.
2. Grind handful of fresh coriander leaves with 2
tablespoon of jaggery and cup of water. Prepare juice and consume it every day
for few months.
14. Carrot Juice
Raw or semi boiled
carrots can improve the performance of hormone. It can balance the disturbed
hormone structure in women,
1. Make glass of fresh carrot juice and add ½
teaspoon of cinnamon powder and one tablespoon of honey in it. Drink up the
juice in morning and evening. Do this regularly to regulate your delayed
periods.
2. Add carrots in your regulate fruit and
vegetable salad, sprinkle ½ teaspoon of black pepper or cinnamon powder on it.
15. Beetroot Juice
1. Cut medium size beet in few pieces and grind
it along with 1 teaspoon of roasted sesame seeds, also add 2 cup of water and
make a juice, then add 1 tablespoon of fresh lemon juice. Mix well and consume
daily in the morning and in the evening. Repeat this 4-5 times a week for one
month and see the result.
2. Add beetroots in your regular diet in the form
of chutney, salad, pickles, juice, curry, sandwiches etc.
16. Mint
1. Take 8-10 fresh green mint leaves and smash
them properly to make paste of it, then add 1 teaspoon of honey to it and
consume the mixture in the morning with half cup of water. Repeat this in the
evening. Follow the remedy daily for 4-5 weeks.
2. Mix 1 tablespoon of readymade mint leaves
powder or fresh mint paste with 1 tablespoon of fresh lemon juice and pinch of
black pepper. Consume this mixture once a day for several weeks to regulate the
menstrual periods.
