5. Pen Focus Exercise

Pen focus exercise aims at strengthening the weak eye muscles. How to perform this exercise:

1.      Sit erect in a sturdy chair.
2.      Now take a pen on your right hand. Hold it straight in such a manner that it is held exactly in front of your body.
3.      The pen should be held upright.
4.      Take normal breaths. Focus the tip of your pen. Keep focusing at this position and count from one to ten.
5.      After this, bend your arm and slowly bring the pen towards your nose tip. Do not shift focus. Our focus should still remain on the pen’s tip. At this position, count from one to five. 


6.      Extend your arm and slowly and bring it back to the original position (in front of your body). Keep focusing the pen tip. At this position, count from one to five again.
7.      It is important that you should not blink or shift your focus from the tip of the pen during this exercise.
8.      Rest your eyes and count from one to ten.

Step one to seven can be repeated three times every day.


6. Figure of Eight

Figure of eight is an exercise that enhances eye muscles’ flexibility. Though it is a simple exercise, it is an excellent exercise. What is figure of eight?

1.      Visualize a huge shape of the number eight in about ten feet in front of your face.
2.      Imagine this 8 on its sideways (∞)
3.      Slowly trace the outline of this shape with your eyes. For the first few minutes do this in one way and then in the other way for the next few minutes.
4.      It might seem odd to begin with but it is worth continuing this exercise.



7. Eye Circles Work-out

This is an exercise that aids to tone and stretch out the eye muscles.
The work-out:

1.      Rotate your eyes clockwise for 20 times.
2.      While doing this, you should broaden the circle with every succeeding cycle.
3.      Now stop the exercise, gently close the eyes for 10 seconds.
4.      Resume the entire process again in the anticlockwise direction.

These three steps are to be repeated three times every day.



8. Zooming

Zooming is an exercise that strengthens one’s eye muscles and their focusing abilities.

1.      Before starting, take deep breaths (twice)
2.      Position your thumb at an arm's distance in front of your midline. Focus on your thumb.
3.      Slowly, inhale and simultaneously bring the thumb towards yourself.
4.      When the thumb is around 3 inches from your face, move away your arm.
5.      Repeat the exercise.

1. Massage with olive oil

Mix 1 teaspoon olive oil with 4-5 drops of water and 5 drops of vinegar and apply this mixture on affected skin, leave it overnight, use this mixture as a night cream. Regular application of olive oil exfoliates and moisturizes our skin.

2. Warm olive oil

Slightly warm 1 tablespoon of extra virgin olive oil and rub it gently on the stretch marks. Leave it for 30-40 minutes so that the vitamins A, D and E contains in the oil are absorbed by your skin. Warm olive oil massage improves the blood circulation and reduces the stretch marks in few days.



3. Olive oil with honey

Add 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil in 1 tbsp of organic honey and apply this mixture on affected area for 1-2 hours or leave it overnight and wash off with lukewarm water.

4. Other oils

You can alternatively use coconut oil, almond oil and essential oils such as lavender, Germanium, Rose or other aroma oils such as myrrh, helichrysm to reduce stretch marks.


5. Potato Juice

Raw potato contains antioxidants which helps remove stretch marks naturally. Take a medium size raw potato and cut into two-halves. Take a piece and gently rub it on the stretch marks and other affected skin area for 5-10 minutes. Then leave it on for more 30 minutes to absorb the juice by your skin.  Then wash it off with normal or warm water.



6. Sugar Scrub

Mix a tablespoon of sugar with some almond oil and a few drops of lemon juice. Blend it well and apply on the stretch marks and other skin areas. Rub the mixture gently on the skin for at least 10 minutes every day before taking a shower. Continue doing this for about a month or so and watch your stretch marks become lighter. This scrub exfoliates your dead skin.



7. Cocoa butter and Shea butter

      1.      Apply Shea butter or cocoa butter directly on the stretch marks twice a day. In a month or two, the marks will be less visible.

      2.      Mix half a cup of cocoa butter, one tablespoon of wheat germ oil, two teaspoons of melted beeswax and one teaspoon each of apricot kernel oil and Vitamin E oil. Heat this mixture until the beeswax liquefies. You can store it in an airtight box in the refrigerator and apply it to your stretch marks twice or thrice a day. This mixture will hydrate your skin and make it smooth.    



8. Lemon with potato

Mix 1 tablespoon fresh lemon or orange juice with 2 tablespoon of fresh potato juice. Apply this mixture on the affected skin for 40-50 minutes, and then wash off with warm water. Do this twice a day for fast result. It is recommended to apply this before going to bed and leave it overnight.


9. Egg Whites

1.      Separate the egg white and yolk from the egg. Clean he skin and apply the egg white on the stretch marks, leave it for 20-25 minutes and there after wash off with normal water.
