Winters or summers, whatever the season is, tanning has always been a big skin problem for our healthy and sensitive skin, especially in summer. Our skin contains melanin, which increases due to UV ultra violet) sun rays, when our skin is overexposed to sunlight. 

Most of the people care for face but completely ignore hands, neck; legs etc, and pay equal attention to all skin areas. Tanning is generally caused when our skin is overexposed to sunlight. 


Coconut

Coconut water has lots of qualities, and it is also very outstanding in reducing sun tan. It lessens the darkness of the skin due to overexposure in sunlight. Coconut works magic for our skin from inside and outside. You can drink coconut water regularly; add coconut oil in your diet, add coconut water, pulp and oil in facial masks.


1. Coconut water with turmeric

Mix 2 tablespoon of coconut water with pinch of turmeric and gently massage tanned skin in upward and circular direction for 10 minutes. Repeat this once or twice a day or 3-4 times a week.


2. Coconut milk with honey

Grate some coconut and squeeze 2 tablespoon of coconut milk, add 1 teaspoon of honey in it. Apply this mixture on affected areas for 30 minutes, rinse off with cool water. Follow this regularly for 2-3 weeks for visible result.


3. Coconut milk with lentil powder

Add 2 tablespoon of fresh coconut milk or water in 1 tablespoon of lentil powder, also add 5-6 drops of glycerin in it. Apply for 15-20 minutes on tanned skin, wash before it gets dry. This will also remove black heads and white heads. 



Almonds

4. Almond with milk, lemon juice

Blend 2-4 almonds with 5 tablespoon of raw milk to make smooth paste of it, also add 1 tablespoon of fresh lemon juice in it. Apply this paste on tanned skin for 20-30 minutes. Before washing it off gently scrub the skin with using few drops of water. This lightens your skin tone, increases the blood circulation and removes white heads, black heads. 




5. Almond oil, lemon juice

Mix ½ teaspoon of almond oil with 1 teaspoon of fresh lemon juice. Apply this mixture before going to bed, wash off in the next morning with warm water and apply 1 teaspoon of honey as a moisturizers.


6. Glycerin with almond

Add 5 drops of glycerin in 1 teaspoon of almond paste and apply on the tanned skin, leave it for overnight, rinse off in the next morning.


7. Orange juice with almond

Take 1-2 tablespoon of almond paste, add 1 teaspoon of orange peel powder or fresh orange juice in it. Apply this paste over affected areas and wash off with normal water.




Cucumber

Cucumber gives cooling effect and also helps in healing sunburn. It lightens the tanned skin in few days. Cucumber has lots of vitamin c which develops our skin tone and naturally moisturizes the skin. Cucumber juice also helps reduce a sun tan. Cucumbers have a cooling effect that soothes the skin and helps eliminate a suntan. The vitamin C in cucumbers also will help keep the skin well moisturized.



8. Cucumber juice with lemon

Mix 1 tablespoon of fresh lemon juice with 2 tablespoon of fresh cucumber juice, also add pinch of turmeric powder in it, mix them well and apply this mixture on tanned skin for 30 minutes. Wash of with normal water.



9. Cucumber juice with milk powder

Take 1 cup cucumber pieces and blend them in mixer grinder. Add 2 tablespoon of raw milk or milk powder and 1 tablespoon of fresh lemon juice or tomato juice. Apply on affected areas for 30 minutes, then wash off with normal water.


10. Rub Cucumber slices

Gently rub your tanned skin with slices of cucumber for 10 minutes in circular and upward direction. Repeat this once or twice a day.


11. Cucumber paste with honey

Add 2 tablespoon of cucumber paste in 1 tablespoon of honey, apply this paste on tanned skin for 30 minutes. Repeat this daily for few weeks. This mixture reduces the redness and pain caused by sunburn.



12. Strawberry with Milk Cream

This delicious berry has skin lightening properties that can improve your skin complexion and reduce dark spots, skin pigmentation and freckles. 

Take 4-5 ripe strawberries, crush or grind them to make smooth paste and mix this paste with 1 tablespoon of milk cream or raw milk, also add ½ teaspoon of turmeric in this mixture. Apply the paste on tanned skin and wash off with normal water after 30 minutes.

Prickly heat is a common skin problem in adults, children and infants, mostly occurs in the summer and hot days. Prickly heat is also known as miliary, heat rash or sweat rash, it is an itchy rash with small red spots occurs, which cause harshness of the skin. 

Prickly heat is very irritating, painful and cause harsh itching. 1.      Stay in an air-conditioned or cool environment, have a cool shower or bath to reduce the prickly sensations. Take cool shower two three times a day.
2.      Always wear loose and cotton clothes, avoid synthetic clothing.
3.      Drink plenty of water (at least 9 glasses a day) during hot climate. Consume fruits and vegetables with high water content.
4.      Do not use creams and oils to treat heat rashes, they do not prevent sweat rashes, but they can block the pores.

1. Apply aloe gel directly

Leave the application for 1-2 hours and then rinse off with cool water. Follow this remedy after bath in the morning or in the afternoon and before going to bed at night (leave it overnight and wash off in the morning with cool water)


2. Aloe Vera with turmeric

Mix half or 1 teaspoon turmeric powder in 2-3 tablespoon of fresh or pure aloe Vera gel, mix them well and apply on the affected skin for 1 hour and rinse it off with cool water. Do this once or twice a day.


3. Aloe with apple cider vinegar

Add 1 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar in the 2-3 tablespoon of fresh or pure aloe Vera gel and rub this mixture over affected skin for 1 hour. Wash off with cool water. Repeat this once or twice a day for fast effect.


Margosa /neem leaves

The margosa/neem has antibacterial property which helps in killing the germs and also gives you immediate relief from other skin diseases. Margosa / neem leaf has anti inflammatory and antiseptic properties that prevents and removes the prickly heat symptoms such as harsh itching and inflammation.



4. Neem with rose water

Grind/smash a handful of fresh margosa/neem leaves with 3 tablespoon of rose water to make a smooth paste. Smear this paste on the affected skin areas and Leave it for 1 hour. Then wash it off with cool water. Follow this remedy once a day.




5. Neem with multani mitti

Mix 3 tablespoon of fresh margosa/neem paste with 2 tablespoon of multani mitti and 4 tablespoon of rose water. Apply the mixture over the heat rashes for 1 hour and rinse off with cool water. Follow this once a day. You can also use gram flour instead of multani mitti.


6. Apply neem water

Crush 2 handfuls of margosa/neem leaves and boil them in 2 glasses of water for 20-30 minutes. Strain the water and keep it in the freezer for 5-10 minutes. Then soak clean cotton clothe in this cold water and place it over the affected skin area for 10 minutes. Repeat this 2-3 times a day for fast relief.



Oatmeal

Oatmeal is a healthy and nutritious food; it has amazing healing properties for both inside and outside our body. It has anti inflammatory and calming properties. 9. Oatmeal with curd

Mix 3 tablespoon of oatmeal powder with cup of curd, also add half teaspoon of turmeric in it. Apply the mixture over the hear rashes. Rinse the application off after 1 hour. Follow this once or twice a day to get rid of prickly heat symptoms.

10. Oatmeal water

Add cup of oatmeal powder to your bathtub filled with cool water. Stir the water, until the water gets a creamy color. Soak yourself in this bath water for 20-30 minutes to relieve and soothe the skin. Pat dry the body with a soft towel. Repeat this 2 times a day for fast relief.

2 raw potatoes
Half cup rose water
2 tablespoon honey

Direction

       1.      Take 1-2 medium size potatoes, grate them or make small pieces of it. Do not peel them. Grind these potato pieces with half cup of rose water in grinder or blender to make smooth paste of it. Add 2 tablespoon of honey to it and mix them properly. Paste should be smooth not thick; you can use more rose water to make it smooth.

       2.      Clean your affected skin with cool water, pat dry and then immediately apply this paste on the affected skin. Leave it for 30-40 minutes and rinse off with cool water. Do this once or twice a day.


2. Potatoes, Lemon juice 

1.      Grate or chop 1-2 raw potatoes with skin and grind them to make paste. Squeeze this paste and extract juice of it. Add 2 tablespoon of fresh lemon juice to it and apply this mixture on affected area for 30-40 minutes, wash it off with cool water. Repeat this once or twice a day for fast relief from sunburn.

2.      You can also use potato paste instead of juice, but then add 4-5 tablespoon of rose water to make smooth paste, as smooth paste is easy to apply on the skin.





3. Potato Slices

Take 2 thick slices of raw potato with skin and gently rub on your skin for 5-10 minutes, let the potato juice do its work. Rinse off with cool water. Follow this 3-4 times a day.



4. Potato with Turmeric

Mix fresh potato juice or paste with half teaspoon of turmeric powder and apply the paste on the sunburn for 30-40 minutes.

(Do not peel the potato, use its skin also) Wash it off with cool water and pat dry. Repeat this once or twice a day for fast relief from sunburn.


5. Potato with Curd

Mix 3 tablespoon of fresh potato juice or paste with half cup of curd, also add 1 tablespoon of honey in it, and mix them well. 6. Potato with Cucumber

Grate 1-2 raw potatoes and extract fresh juice from it, then grate 1 small cucumber to extract juice of it. Mix both juices with 2 pinches of turmeric and rub this mixture on the sunburn skin. Leave the application for 40-45 minutes and then rinse off with cool water. You can also use potato and cucumber paste, but make smooth paste.
